本. 琼森（1572-1637）英国剧作家、诗人、评论家，被公认为伊丽莎白
一世和詹姆斯一世时期，仅次于莎士比亚的剧作家，是驾驭戏剧情节，运用
语言和刻画人物性格的大师。他的诗一直为当时的诗坛人和评论家所推崇。
本诗为其代表作之一， 愿与读者分享。 新 渠 撰 写
只消用你的目光为我祝酒，
我也用我的眼神为你干杯！
要不就在杯中留下一个热吻，
我就再也不会好酒贪杯；
我的灵魂渴望饮下这玉液琼浆，
喝一口神圣的甘泉心儿也会陶醉。
即使众仙献出世间的美酒，
我也不愿交换这神圣的一杯！
我曾送给你玫瑰编织的花环，
并不是向你表达我对你的赞美，
只不过借此表示我的祝福，
愿它永远不会凋谢枯萎。
你只消轻微呼吸一下它的清香，
再将玫瑰花环给我送回；
从此它鲜艳夺目，馥郁芬芳，
我敢说那可是你赐给的光辉！

Drink to me only with thine eyes,
And I will pledge with mine;
Or leave a kiss in the cup,
And I'll not look for wine.
The thirst that from the soul doth rise
Doth ask a drink divine;
But might I of Jove's nectar sup,
I would not change for thine.
I sent thee late a rosy wreath,
Not so much honouring thee
As giving it a hope, that there
It could not wither'ed be.
But thou thereon didst only breathe,
And sent'st it back to me;
Since when it grows, and smells, I swear,
Not of itself but thee. |
